About me

I was born in Akron, a small town outside of Sioux City, Iowa. I ultimately earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Iowa State University and a PhD from the University of Iowa, pursuing academic writing and interests. After taking a job teaching philosophy and theology at a local Catholic school, I rediscovered a passion for fiction writing, especially fantasy and science fiction. I started work on what would eventually become my first novel: I am Nephilim – The Curse, the Demon, the Half-Breed. In my spare time I love to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and bike to interesting and novel locations to break out the old notebook and write a few lines. I am currently working on writing a new novel about dragons before returning to write the sequel to I am Nephilim.
