“How do you work this thing?” The filthy stranger fumbled in the corner, making the pristine walls with a light brown smear.
“Shh! Shut up!” Tiva shouted, motioning toward the end of the hall.
Three figures, clothed in light, hovered down the hallway, stopping at each room. One of each would turn toward a room and draw in a deep breath, pause, and signal to the others to move on.
Tiva started talking to herself. ” This is fine. Our rooms are sealed. No scents can get out. And anyway these buildings are custom built to keep these things out.” The pressure spiked through her chest.
“Hey. It’s all right. All those things yo said are true. Now stop hyperventilating,” the stranger reached out toward Tiva’s arms.
She recoiled. “Get your hands off me,” she spouted. The last thing she needed as for this character to get handsy.
*Crash*
Tiva nearly tripped as her work chair clattered to its side, sound reverberating through the walls.
The heads and too perfect faces of the figures down the hall snapped their direction. In unison they stepped, gliding down the hallway with purpose, stopping in front of Tiva’s apartment.
The three figures sniffed the air. The central figure reached down and ran her fingure along the floor where Tiva’s stranger stood just moments before.
Lifting his finger to his nose, he filled his lungs again. He made a clicking sound and the three of them moved closer and closer to the glass.
The glow surrounding the figures began to pulsate, slowly cycling dimmer and brighter. As the flashes increased in intensity, Tiva put together what was happening. They’re trying to see through the privacy screen.
Thinking quickly, if rashly, Tiva took action. “Hey, stinky! Kiss me. Now.”
Tiva grabbed her smelly stranger, turned him so that her boy would largely occclude his, and touched her lips to his just as the lights reached blinding intensity.
The wold melted away. The soft touch of his lips and the feeling of his strong arms holding her touch starved body caused every nerve in her body to tingle. Tiva, captured by desire, lost all awareness of surroundings or time as she knew again what it was to be in another’s embrace.
She started to awareness as the female voice chimed in again.
“All invaders have left the premises. Lock down lifted.“
Tiva thrust the stranger from her instinctively. “Get your hands off me, pervert!”
“Fine,” the stranger reacted, “and I have a name you know.”
“Sure. Whatever your name is, you’re disgusting. Take a shower. Or! Would you help our dumb pervert friend take a shower?”
“Sure thing, Ti.”
As the shower head and privacy stall extruded from the wall the stranger chimed in. “It’s… been… interesting to met you. My name is Limen.”
